CD & Record Boxes

Sending sound carriers safely

Storing CDs and records safely or even transporting them is not so easy: As everyone knows, the so-called diamond cases of CDs break very easily, especially at the hinge; and of course records must not be bent under any circumstances.

Packaging for these sound carriers must therefore be highly resistant to kinking and puncture in order to avoid damage during shipping. The cardboard from which these media packages are made is therefore particularly stiff and of high density to achieve exactly that. Filling plates for the record boxes prevent the records from lying loose in the packaging. They also provide additional cushioning, which, unlike bubble wrap, not only absorbs vibrations but also has a high degree of stiffness.

Of course, these cartons are also suitable for storing media: they are largely light- and dust-proof, thus protecting not only the media contents but also the covers.
