Universal book packaging
Book packaging - ideal for shipping books
Books place some special demands on shipping that are hardly found in any other shipping item. Since books are usually made almost 100% of paper, they are comparatively sensitive to external influences. Humidity and moisture must be avoided. Secure transport packaging for undamaged shipment promises a remedy. Important elements that every book packaging should have are slip resistance and a perfect fit. While many other items can suffer damage, especially on the inside, the risk with books is mainly on the surface. By packaging that fits as precisely as possible, the need for filling materials is very low. Hardly any other product type is as diverse as the book. From paperbacks to thick tomes, there are a wide variety of sizes and formats. A single packaging solution that fits every book seems difficult to find. However, different packaging would require a large financial investment depending on the book. Book packaging is the solution.
The special thing about book packaging
Book packaging has a special feature. Here, the size and thickness of the packaging flexibly adapts to the dimensions of the book. This reduces filling material to a minimum. The packaging closes bindingly with almost all sides and wraps itself around the book or books to be sent. The concept is also often referred to as wraparound packaging. The packaging, like many others, is made of high-quality corrugated cardboard. This makes it a particularly ecological solution that can be disposed of via paper waste and fully recycled after shipping. But what is important above all is the functionality. The corrugated cardboard safely protects your book from bumps or falls, scratches and dust. In terms of filling height, book packaging is very variable, so you can pack anything from a 1000-page book to a thin catalogue well in it.
Easy handling for your employees
Your employees spend a lot of time every day packing goods and securing them for shipping. Avoid numerous work steps and make the work easier for your employees. This is an efficient way to avoid packaging errors and transport damage. User-friendly packaging, such as book packaging, is designed to be very easy to handle. The cross packaging can be wrapped around the product or products by you or an employee quickly and without much effort. The size can be optimally adapted to the nature of the book. You should only make sure to choose a suitable basic format. At Verpacking, you can obtain all common packaging sizes in the usual DIN formats of A3, A4 and A5 for this purpose. For even bulkier goods, you will also find a large selection of cardboard boxes.
How book packaging works
To pack one or more books in book packaging, you only need to follow a few steps and the process is complete. Place the spread out book packaging in front of you on a flat surface. The packing table is ideal for this. Now pick up the book or stack of books to be wrapped. Place these products in the middle of the packaging. Next, fold the side flaps over the book. When doing this, be careful not to leave too much air, but to ensure that the shipping package is as tight as possible. Then you can wrap the wrapping around the book and seal it yourself with the adhesive strip provided. The recipient can open the package easily thanks to the tear-off perforation.
Book packaging is very customer-friendly
Our book packaging is not only impressive because your employees can close it quickly and securely. The same applies to the customer. Also, it is absolutely customer-friendly and can be opened in seconds with a flick of the wrist. The packaging also ensures almost optimal edge and corner protection. The edges and corners of a book are among the most sensitive areas of these objects. The paper quickly becomes scuffed or discoloured here. Book packaging can prevent this damage.
