The right roll for packing, machinery and moving

The load is secured by the restoring force of the polyethylene film (PE). When stretch wrapping, i.e. pulling the film of stretch from the roll and wrapping a load, the format is stretched. Immediately afterwards, the material tries to return to its original shape, but is prevented from doing so by its self-adhesion. The energy acting inwards holds the packages and pallets securely together.

One type of film is flexi-film. This is extremely durable and easy to use. With a 17 my thick Flexi, you can stabilise pallets with a load of up to 300 kg. If that is not enough, you can also use the next thicker film with 20 my.
The best load safety when handling heavier loads can be obtained with a film thickness of up to 23 my, e.g. with our films in the dimensions 500mm x 300m 17my. Depending on the thickness of the material, this type allows homogeneous loading of pallets with an average weight between 300 and 600 kg.

The pre-stretched wrapping film with a thickness of 9 µ stabilises homogeneous pallets with an average weight of up to 500 kg. These films are already pre-stretched to the optimum during production and may only be wrapped around the package with slight tension. The advantage of pre-stretched film made of elastic is that it has a more tear-resistant surface and at the same time a reduced film thickness. Thanks to pre-stretch, less force is required and you don't have to worry about thinning the film of stretch when unrolling. This makes stretch film packaging of furniture a good safety measure when moving and is also used in parcel shipping where there is no space for a large stretch film machine.

An inexpensive hand stretch film is suitable for securing individual parts, such as small and spare parts, as well as for securing boxes. As the term implies, hand stretch film is very easy to use by hand. You can either use small hand dispensers for mini stretch film or large dispensers with ergonomic rubber handles and metal frames. Hand stretch film allows you to fix individual packages on pallets precisely and accurately, or to prepare individual boxes for shipping.

If you have a lot of packages to send, you can also automate the stretch wrapping process with a machine. Machine stretch film is not suitable for manual use because it is bulkier and heavier than hand stretch film. However, it can be unrolled very well with a machine and then also applied to a pallet. This type also differs from hand stretch films in that the core diameter of a stretch film roll is significantly larger to fit on the machine.
