Help with accessibility
As of June 28, 2025, website accessibility is not just a legal requirement, but a matter of course and our own aspiration, which we are continuously working on.
Unfortunately, both the manufacturers of the relevant browsers (Edge, Chrome and Firefox) and the various operating systems are putting obstacles in our way: many catchy and easy-to-remember keyboard shortcuts are already used internally for their own controls and are therefore not available on a website - or only to a very limited extent.
The sheer number of possible combinations of browsers and operating systems makes it extremely difficult to guarantee universal, conflict-free and convenient keyboard control beyond the standard options. This is especially true for complex pages such as product lists in categories and product detail pages, where such help would be particularly necessary.
MacBooks with MacOS and Safari, of all things, have proven to be particularly stubborn here:
These use so many internal shortcuts with [control], [option] and [command] that it was impossible to find a standardized and practicable solution. Even the minimum legal requirement of being able to navigate the page with [TAB] and [SHIFT][TAB] only works halfway on Safari if you activate the corresponding options in Settings -> Safari -> Advanced functions -> Accessibility.
As sorry as we are, MacBook users will therefore only be able to use the standard TAB navigation on our pages.
All others will find below all the keys and key combinations that can be used for convenient operation of the packaging online store.
Used keys:
This is a general overview of the possible keys. But don't worry, not every key is required in every key combination.
| Key | Meaning |
|---|---|
| [0] - [9] | Digits 0-9, above the letters (not the separate numeric keypad!) |
| [A] - [Z] | Regular Letters |
| [F1] - [F12] | The Function keys |
| [SHIFT] | The "shift" key |
| [CTRL] | The "control" key |
| [ALT] | The "alternate" key |
| [ARROW] | This refers to the 4 buttons "up", "down", "left" and "right" for controlling the cursor. |
| [ENTER] | The "enter" key, also often named "return" |
| [TAB] | The tab key |
| [SPACE] | The "space" key |
| [ESC] | The "escape" key |
The standard functions:
| Keys | Function |
|---|---|
| [ALT] + [F1] | Show this help |
| [TAB] | The next element you can interact with |
| [SHIFT] + [TAB] | The previoux element you can interact with |
| [ENTER] | Activate an Element, like: follow a link or select a category in the menu |
| [SPACE] |
Elements can have more than one option or action and [SPACE] selects the optional action. |
| [ESC] | Exit option selection, for example: Close list of subcategories in the main menu |

| [ALT] + [0] | Go to the start or 'home' page |
Extended keyboard shortcuts:
The following extended commands use the key combination [SHIFT] + [ALT], as this caused the fewest problems in our tests on various browsers.
