Shipping Tubes
Ever tried to send a poster or a technical drawing in a normal cardboard box - without creasing it? Then just roll them up!
Shipping sleeves for mailing posters and the like
Retailers do not have the right packaging for every format. Especially large-format products such as technical drawings, posters or billboards often have a hard time. They are very sensitive and bend easily. At the same time, it is rare to find flat packaging of sufficient size. The solution? Mailing tubes. These are the ideal packaging for all documents or paper goods that fill a large footprint. These are simply rolled carefully for shipping and inserted into the mailing tube. By using mailing tubes, documents, posters, etc. remain absolutely wrinkle and crease-free and can be transported safely in transit.
Stable and reliable
Our shipping sleeves are made of high-quality corrugated cardboard. The angular shipping tubes, which are often also known as trapezoidal tubes, are extremely stable and therefore perfectly suited for their purpose. We offer various sizes of shipping tubes in our extensive range. These should always be selected with regard to the rolled-up document. Not only the side length, but also the thickness of the rRoll is decisive. Too tight a roll should be avoided for sensitive goods. The square mailing tubes have the advantage over the round alternative made of solid board that they can be stacked very easily. This allows for good storage and saves space in the warehouse. Our rectangular shipping tubes are delivered in a collapsed state, which further ensures easy storage. In the shipping process, you can then assemble them in a few simple steps. Due to the design principle, a high level of dimensional stability is achieved here.
It is hard to imagine certain industries without shipping tubes as a packaging solution. They also allow sensitive paper products such as calendars, technical drawings or documents to be shipped safely by simply rolling them up and packaging them. We also leave an ecological footprint and do not use composite materials such as the classic plastic lid for our mailing tubes.

How to secure your documents in mailing tubes
Shipping sleeves offer the advantage that additional protection for the shipped goods is often no longer necessary. Already during the construction of the square corrugated cardboard sleeves, sufficient stability is taken into account. This prevents the products from crumpling. Especially when the integrity of the contents is particularly important because contracts or very high-priced papers or original prints are being sent, it is worth considering using additional reinforcement as a filling material when packing. Another option for securing the mailing tube in the post is to place warning notices on the outside of the packaging. Notices such as: Fragile or Do not stack can encourage the shipping company to take extra precautions. Of course, this is no guarantee that the goods will be handled gently. Nevertheless, a noticeable effect can often be achieved. Another option would be to use custom-printed adhesive tape.
Selecting the right size
The length of the mailing tube is also crucial. If there is too much space between the rolled-up document, poster or placard and the mailing tube, the inside can slide up and down uncontrollably. In the worst case, this can cause damage to the edges. For this reason, precise measurements should be taken before shipping and a shipping tube should be chosen that fits as accurately as possible. If this is not possible for a specific reason, because there is no replacement sleeve available and dispatch is imminent, padding material can be used to help. At this point, especially small-sized and flexible padding and filling material is preferable. We recommend crumpled bubble wrap. If you prefer not to use plastic for padding, you can also roll up some bubble paper and use it to pad the cavities at the ends of the shipping tube. This provides the necessary edge protection and ensures that the contents reach the recipient undamaged.
Additional postage costs pay off
Those who choose to send certain products as a mailing tube in roll form want to play it safe and pay less attention to the additional postage costs. A roll surcharge is required for shipping as a roll. The unusually shaped parcel item, provided it adheres to the shipping service provider's strap dimensions and does not exceed the maximum weight, can also be sent without the roll surcharge. As a general rule, as long as the weight of 5 kg is not exceeded, the respective parcel price + 1.50€ roll surcharge applies to shipping tubes from 15 cm in length and 5 cm in diameter to 120 cm in length and 15 cm in diameter. Smaller rolls can be sent without surcharge. For larger or heavier items, the parcel must be sent as bulky goods. Ask your shipping service provider about the respective prices. In any case, however, you will receive a secure shipping option for goods that would otherwise certainly not have reached the recipient without damage.
