DHL parcel S - 2 kg

Parcel S is made of brown and recyclable single wall corrugated board. In a corrugator (WPA), paper is heated, moistened and then formed. For this purpose, the moist thick paper is passed through corrugating rolls under pressure and at high heat. Both sides of the corrugated board are sealed with a top layer. The result is a stable and robust carton that protects goods and gets them safely to their destination.

The dimensions of the Standard Package S vary from 15 x 11 x 1 cm to 60 x 30 x 15 cm. It is important for parcels to be sent in size S at a shipping price of 5.49 euros that they must not be heavier than 2 kg when packed. If the S packages are heavier, you slip into the next higher shipping class of 6.99 euros.

This shipping box is particularly suitable for sending small products. The DHL package protects the corners and edges and prevents the goods and products being shipped in the package from buckling. In addition, the contents are well protected from environmental influences such as rain or snow.

In the shipment of a parcel of size S, tracking and liability for damage or loss up to 500 euros are included.

DHL package M - 5kg

Parcel M is ideal for goods shipments weighing up to 5kg. The boxes are made of single-wall and double-wall corrugated cardboard, which is particularly robust and stable. In contrast to single wall corrugated board, double wall corrugated board is more stable because here two corrugated layers are stabilized by an intermediate layer of smooth strong cardboard paper.

An extremely stable bottom and reinforced side walls guarantee that heavy goods such as computer accessories, small pieces of furniture or heavy books reach their destination undamaged. The water-repellent material of the top surfaces protects against rain and snow. With additional packaging material such as bubble wrap, molded padding or corrugated cardboard rolls, you can further protect your shipped goods. Keep in mind that these also contribute to the total weight.

Thus, the dimensions do not differ from parcels of shipping classes M or L. However, in this parcel class you can send goods weighing up to 31.5 kg. A prerequisite for sending goods with such a high weight by delivery service to customers, partners, friends and family is an extremely stable material of the packing cartons. This is given with the XL-DHL package by a robust 2-wall corrugated cardboard, from which the stable boxes are made. The walls of the package are made of two single wall corrugated cardboards, which are firmly glued together via a smooth middle web. The corrugated cardboard is formed by machine from damp thick paper. For this purpose, the paper is guided over corrugated rolls by means of pressure and high heat. In our shop you can find cardboard made of coarse or fine flute or a mix of different flute types. The different types of flute further increase the stability of the cardboard boxes.
Heavy, large products are optimally protected against transport damage in the DHL-standardized XL packages. Environmental influences such as rain, hail or snow cannot harm them. Additional protection is provided by filling materials such as air chamber bags and bubble wrap. If you want to do without plastic completely for recyclable and sustainable cardboard boxes, you can use filling materials such as corrugated cardboard, corrugated cardboard strips or paper wool.
