There is a really significant difference in terms of shipment tracking and liability in the event of loss or damage. During shipping, you cannot find out where the shipment is currently located. If the Parcel-S is lost or damaged en route, the shipping service provider will not provide a replacement. It is therefore not possible to track your parcel online.

It's a completely different story with a parcel: as soon as it has been registered, you can track its current status online. This means you always know exactly when it was handed over to a Packstation or a parcel carrier, when it was delivered to the nearest branch, when it arrived in the recipient's destination region, when it was packed into a delivery vehicle and when it was delivered.
