Environmental protection and sustainability have become more and more important in recent years and companies should also be concerned with this issue. In the course of this, it is important to look for solutions that have as little impact on the environment as possible - in this way, each individual can make a small but valuable contribution to the conservation of resources. But where can small companies and large corporations best start here? One important aspect is to replace shipping packaging with green alternatives that are ecologically compatible and offer more sustainability. Although conventional bubble wrap & co. are very practical, plastic-free alternatives are a sensible solution in many respects.
It is therefore important to find solutions that do not harm the environment. If you are looking for paper filling material for your packaging, you will quickly find what you are looking for with us. With our innovative products, we offer alternatives that make a valuable contribution to resource conservation. Our offer is aimed at companies of all sizes as well as private individuals.
Our paper filling material for parcels is not only resource-friendly, but also recyclable, making it an ideal solution for shipping with a clear conscience: Many of our products are made of the recyclable filling material parcel paper and can be reused many times after a first use. So: if we use paper for filling material, we contribute to a more sustainable world.
Paper filling material is easy to dispose of and protects your products from dust and shocks
Styrofoam or plastic film is still used as filling and packaging material, but it is by no means a sustainable solution. Filling materials made of paper, such as kraft paper, tissue paper or shredded paper, are particularly environmentally friendly: they are recyclable and can therefore be easily disposed of together with the boxes in the waste paper container. The waste paper can then be reprocessed and used again.
What's more: ecologically compatible paper filling material hardly affects the weight of a package. Shredded paper or tissue paper weigh a minimal amount, so there are no high additional costs here. Furthermore, environmentally friendly paper filling material is easy to fill: It does not stir up dust that can settle on the products, but offers optimal protection. If you use paper strips as packaging filler, you can even further customise your package in your company colours.
The terms packaging padding and packaging filling material are often used interchangeably - but they are not the same thing. For example, if small goods that are rather insensitive are packed in a large carton, void fill with filler paper is recommended. With our filling materials, such as Schrenzpapier or packing paper, the goods inside the shipping box can be optimally protected so that they cannot slip during transport.
If sensitive goods are to be specifically protected from impacts at their edges, on the other hand, it is important to use a good cushioning material. This can also be made of packing paper, corrugated cardboard or paper padding. Tissue paper is also ideal for intermediate protection. Another solution is kraft paper, which absorbs shocks very well and thus offers ideal protection when travelling. This shows that plastic is hardly necessary nowadays, because a lot of things can be optimally padded and protected with filler paper as well.
Many of the filling materials can simply be reused after their arrival at their destination and temporarily stored for this purpose. If you don't want to do this, simply put them in the waste paper container and don't have to worry about anything else.
Padding material made from waste paper is used for packing goods, but also for moving houses
Padding materials and filling material made of paper can be used in many ways - in fact, there are hardly any limits to their use. When moving house, kraft paper, tissue paper or packing chips are used to protect furniture or other inventory from bumps and damage. For example, you can wrap crockery or other fragile items in kraft paper for optimal protection.
Packing paper is also frequently used for packing goods in the warehouse: large and small boxes are padded with it so that the goods are optimally protected against impacts and even rough handling during transport does not have any nasty consequences.
There are many ways to use packaging chips and other filling materials - whether in private or in industry. One thing is certain: in view of the countless possibilities, plastic is no longer a solution that can be dispensed with. In our online shop, we offer a comprehensive selection of environmentally friendly filling and cushioning materials that can be used for a wide variety of purposes.
No matter whether you use paper, plastic or even textiles as your parcel filling material: Environmental protection has become an important aspect in today's economy that should no longer be neglected. More and more customers are attaching great importance to environmentally friendly packaging solutions from a mail-order company or any other company from which they purchase goods. Climate-neutral shipping and recycling have long since become important factors according to which customers decide - thus the company's success is influenced by them in the long term. It is therefore more important than ever to make decisions that can stand the test of time - which makes the topic of paper filling material all the more important. With us you can find climate-friendly filling paper for parcels made from recycled waste paper. And paper cuttings filling material not only looks smart, but can even be reused as confetti after unpacking. The same goes for the popular crinkle paper strips that are often used in decorations.
But you don't have to limit yourself at all, because paper packaging materials are incredibly versatile. A good example is corrugated cardboard: one of our products that can be used excellently as paper filling material for parcels or also as packaging. Corrugated cardboard has an enormous stability due to its corrugated structure and thus ensures safe shipping. Half of all cardboard boxes and transport boxes in Germany are now made of corrugated cardboard - and not without reason. During the production of corrugated board, one corrugated and one smooth paper web are glued together. It is also possible to glue several sheets together, which further increases stability. The corrugated surface gives the cardboard maximum stability without weighing it down too much. If you use strips of corrugated paper as filling material, you can not only pack your shipment securely, but also design it in your company colours and thus always leave a positive impression when unpacking. Crinkle paper looks similar to strips, but cushions a little better and looks nicer. And paper snippets of filler paper are definitely a lot of fun to unpack.
However, filler paper is also convincing as loose packaging material in the form of packaging chips, as wrapping paper for parcels to stuff large boxes or even in shredded form. Filler paper is particularly suitable if the goods to be shipped are especially fragile and sensitive. Heavy and robust goods can also be shipped excellently with paper cartons. Last but not least, these filling and packaging materials are of course also suitable for shock-proof storage in warehouses.
Good packaging with parcel filling material needs to be learned - because until a parcel arrives safely at the recipient, it has to pass through many different intermediate stations. Again and again it is reloaded, set down, picked up and sometimes handled roughly. That is why it is all the more important that the products are protected in such a way that nothing can happen.
The most important prerequisite for this is a stable and at the same time impact-resistant packaging. The inner packaging as well as the packaging filling material should also be adapted to the goods. After all, even a high-quality cardboard box is of little use if the goods inside slip, hit the walls and can break immediately at the slightest impact. Suitable and sufficient paper filling material that matches the properties of the goods to be transported is therefore essential.
However, it is also quite common that several different filling and padding materials are used in a package to further increase transport protection. Tissue paper, for example, can be used to wrap the goods, while packaging chips provide good cushioning against impacts in the event of rough handling.
In general, packaging chips are excellent packaging fillers because they offer a high degree of flexibility while providing good protection. They get into even the smallest cavities and fill them completely, impress with their dimensional stability and can be reused without any problems even after shipping. This makes them a sustainable and at the same time environmentally friendly solution - because the chips can be composted! One disadvantage, however, is that they take up a comparatively large amount of space during storage - which often takes place in bags or large boxes.
It should be noted, however, that packaging chips do not protect goods from slipping in a transport box: Although they cushion and dampen the goods, they can still get on the outside walls. For this reason, additional packaging is often necessary on the inside, surrounding the goods to be transported themselves.
Paper filling material has numerous convincing advantages: Recyclable filling paper does not harm the environment, is easy to use and still finds applications after transport.
But which product is best suited as filling paper for parcels depends on several factors. Of course, packaging chips, tissue paper, kraft paper or corrugated board differ significantly in their properties and are not automatically suitable for use with every item being transported. For example, it should be known in advance how heavy and large the product is and whether there is a risk of it breaking (in the case of glass, for example) or whether it can be scratched. Accordingly, packaging filling material can be selected that ideally meets the requirements of the goods to be transported and ensures maximum safety.
However, packaging filling material should not be used in any quantity just because it is more environmentally friendly than plastic - but instead should also be used very sparingly. By opting for recyclable filling materials, whether shredded or in whole form, you are already making a good and sustainable decision, but this should also be used consciously. Often, already used pieces of corrugated cardboard or kraft paper can be reused for packaging other goods. A cardboard shredder is also a sensible solution if your company regularly has to deal with a large volume of shipments. Damaged cartons that are not suitable for re-shipping are shredded and turned into compact filling materials. These can then simply be added to a new cardboard box for transport security during the next shipment.
However, filling and cushioning correctly is not that simple, but requires some thought. This is due to the now huge range of options. Nevertheless, the packaging filling material must be optimally matched to the goods being transported so as not to risk unnecessary damage.
In general, the packaging of a transport item should be of a size that is as suitable as possible and not oversized, so that no unnecessary packaging filling material is wasted. It is also important that no cavities are created when packing - otherwise the goods being transported may slip during their journey and suffer damage. In addition, the following generally applies: the heavier the goods to be transported, the more stability the packaging filling material must have. The lower the weight of the goods, the softer the filling materials can be.
If several products are packed in a single box, the heaviest items should always be packed at the very bottom. The lightest goods are stowed at the top. Also, the weight should always be evenly distributed in the box. If there is a product among several goods that is particularly fragile, it is advisable to adapt the packaging filling material to this in order not to run the risk of breakage.
Several goods are best separated from each other within the transport packaging and also padded towards the outer walls of the packaging. Separation options made of tissue paper, kraft paper or other environmentally friendly solutions are available for this purpose. Bottles and other upright goods are ideally also made ready for shipment in this position and marked with an appropriate notice on the outer packaging (e.g. "Caution - fragile!"). Goods that may leak or contain liquid should be additionally wrapped or covered with absorbent packaging chips.
In the meantime, the market offers a large selection of padding and filling materials and processes a wide variety of materials. The basic rule here is: it's best to opt for a sustainable solution that makes sense in the long term and doesn't just work for a short period of time. Therefore our tip: Decide on the filling material package paper.
In particular, the quality of the filling material used plays an important role. You can only be sure that the contents of the parcel will be reliably protected from knocks and damage if the quality is excellent and the goods are of the high quality we offer. And only then can you be sure that it will finally arrive at the end customer exactly as you packed it.
Under no circumstances, however, should filling materials be used that contain harmful substances. Under certain circumstances, these can be transferred to the goods - this applies especially to chemicals, heavy metals or harmful softeners. These are mainly found in filling materials made of plastics and other synthetic materials. Often, the customer is confronted with a chemical, unpleasant smell as soon as he unpacks the goods - and that does not make a good impression. This also increases the risk that the buyer will leave it at a one-time order and prefer to buy his goods from another retailer in the future.
We focus on environmentally friendly solutions for filling materials
More and more companies as well as private individuals are focusing on environmentally friendly shipping solutions and using paper filling material. You should also consider paper filling material for your packaging. When a customer opens a parcel and finds environmentally friendly filling materials inside, this is always a plus for a retailer. Because it shows: A company is interested in the environment and sustainability, which always leaves a positive impression. Therefore, environmentally friendly paper filling materials, whether kraft paper or in shredded form, are of enormous importance for both B2B and B2C companies when it comes to increasing sales success.
Especially companies with a considerable shipping volume benefit from a sustainable solution. Relying on efficient filling materials and packaging that fit the goods and using recyclable or compostable accessories is a valuable contribution to environmental protection. Every company can thus contribute to the important conservation of resources and the recycling cycle.
Our range of environmentally friendly filling and padding materials for sustainability and a clear conscience
