Folding cartons, e.g. the well-known FEFCO 0201 type, are among the most popular packaging in the mail order business: They are inexpensive, stable, space-saving to store and easy to assemble - more or less.
Automatic cartons are also folding cartons, but with one trick: the bottom is already glued, and thanks to a special folding technique, the packaging can be made ready for dispatch without the need for aids such as adhesive tape: You simply unfold it, and that's it! Of course, the self-adhesive lid also plays a role here.
Cartons with an automatic bottom - as the long name suggests - are popular with private customers because of their easy handling. Retailers, on the other hand, are mainly interested in saving time in the warehouse, because more packages can be packed in less time with these cartons than with conventional folding boxes. This means shorter delivery times - and their customers appreciate that.
