Dangerous goods must be shipped in UN-approved packaging for dangerous goods. What uses does the Euro pallet box with cartons generally share?

Many goods are first shipped by wholesalers in pallet boxes before they find their way onto retailers' shelves. Here, protection against transport damage and the effects of the weather is just as important as making it as easy as possible to load the goods. The latter is made possible by pallets that are designed for transport using forklift trucks. But you also need cartons for a pallet. Because cartons on pallets are a cost-effective and environmentally friendly way of transporting goods safely, even in bulk. Manufacturers, forwarding agents and traders want to buy pallet boxes all the time, because they are already specially designed for pallets. Cartons are thus subjected to special processing. It can be supplemented by additional inner packaging - the carton material used is always impregnated or laminated. The areas of application for cartons produced by using cardboard together with other packaging materials are expanding day by day. Combination cartons are also used to pack a fatty food product and a frozen seafood product. Before the production of the carton starts, the structure of the carton is designed. As a result of the structural design, a horizontal configuration called a blank is obtained. This outline is cut, folded and creased to form a box. It is important that the designs are placed on the board with as little waste as possible. The substrate (web) and board size of the carton is closely related to the size of the manufacturer and the capacity of the press to be printed. These are not standardised.
Cardboard pallets are also used for efficient material transport. Stacking devices should be used to transport the products safely, usually with the aid of a skid or pallet.

Euro carton and transport pallets in storage, packaging and transport

Wooden pallets are traditionally made from wooden planks or spacers. These wooden planks are made with double wings to fit the wings of forklifts and they make the structure stackable. There are certain disadvantages associated with the use of wooden pallets or skids, these are basically easy to name: Wood is expensive and heavy!
These massively heavy wooden pallets can damage the floor or stacked products. Moreover, their heavy weight does not allow workers to carry them. Since their raw material is wood, they can easily become a fire hazard.
Spacers are glued to the bottom of these pallets, which are made of a flat layer of cardboard, so that the shovels of forklift trucks can drive into them. Two layers of cardboard form the top layer on which relatively lighter loads can be stacked without difficulty.
Since no nails are used in the production of a cardboard pallet, the products are less likely to be damaged during storage or stacking.
There are also differences between work areas: For example, while workers have to transport wooden pallets with forklifts, it is possible to carry a few cardboard pallets in their hands to the storage area. Replacing a worn out cardboard pallet is cheaper than ordering a new wooden pallet from the manufacturer. Cardboard pallets can also be made as honeycomb pallets.
The honeycomb panel pallet ensures that products are almost never damaged in the event of possible damage due to its dense woven structure during the storage, packing and shipping phases.
Because the cardboard pallet has a honeycomb appearance, it is as durable and robust as a wooden pallet. It also remains stackable. However, honeycomb board pallets are 50 % cheaper and 80 % lighter than wooden boards. Their load capacity is two tonnes. Due to the vertical arrangement of the grooves in their structure, pallets made of honeycomb boards do not break like wooden pallets.
In the production of cardboard pallets, cardboard pallets can be produced in special sizes according to customer requirements. As these pallets are made from paper as a raw material, they are 100% recyclable. Cardboard pallets are not subject to the ISPM 15 standard and heat treatment is not required.
Honeycomb board pallets are more economical compared to their wooden counterparts and the delivery time is shorter. Their raw materials do not contain metals or non-metals such as lead, cadmium and mercury. While the load capacity is 1000-2000 kilograms, the dynamic load capacity is between 900-1000 kilograms and the static load capacity is between 1800 and 2000 kilograms. The dynamic load capacity shows the maximum weight that a cardboard pallet can carry on the forklift truck, while the static load capacity shows the maximum weight that the lowest pallet can carry when the pallets are stacked on top of each other. The dynamic and static load capacity of pallets can vary for many reasons, from the weight of the load on the pallet to the settings of the blades and the weight distribution of the pallet on the blades. Cardboard pallets offer strength, cost and weight advantages.
